To prepare for these Sacraments children must go through a period of instruction as prepared by Catholic Education or the Catechist Service and presented in lessons by teachers in Catholic schools or by catechists.
If your child does not attend a Catholic school they are prepared in after school classes to receive the Sacraments.
Catechist classes for children at non-catholic schools are held at the parish on Wednesday, from 3.45pm to 4.45pm or Saturday 4.15pm to 5.15pm.
The recommended minimum age to receive these Sacraments is:
- First Reconciliation: Year 3
- First Holy Communion: Year 4
- Confirmation: Year 6 or 7
Enrolments are held at the beginning of the school year or when you join the parish.
