Holy Family Blessing Basket Commences 7th and 8th October 2017 ‘… give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven.’ Matt. 19:21
During the Offertory, money and other gifts for the poor may be taken up, together with the bread and wine. We would like to extend our church’s charitable outreach in a tangible and very meaningful way, giving added significance and symbolic importance to our giving. We therefore invite parishioners to bring non-perishable food and toiletry items for distribution to the needy in our society. Every first weekend of the month, please place these gifts for the needy into the baskets in the church. These baskets will be brought forward, together with our monetary offerings, the bread and wine during the Offertory procession. The food and toiletries will be distributed to people in need so Please remember to bring a contribution. We would like to provide regular support to one or two causes or organisations.
